Data Sources & Privacy

Where our data comes from

Licensed data. Nothing else. ContactSearch.ai licenses professional data from established third-party data providers under contract. We do not collect it ourselves.

The information is business-relevant only. A record may include any of the following: a person's name, current role, employer, work history, education, skills, work contact details and professional and social links. Not every record includes every field, and some records hold only limited information.

What we don't do:

• We don't use a browser extension.
• We don't run automated activity on anyone else's website.
• We don't use anyone's login or account to collect data.

Each of our data providers is contractually required to meet applicable privacy laws.

How we keep it current and accurate

• Records are refreshed from our data providers.
• When a record has not been refreshed by our data providers in 90 days, its professional and social links are hidden, so customers are not shown stale links.
• If you see something about yourself that is wrong, tell us at privacy@contactsearch.ai and we will correct it.

What our customers can and cannot do

• Data is licensed for business-to-business recruiting and business outreach only. Customers may not resell, sublicense or share it, and we have no reseller or partner program.
• Customers must honor opt-out requests and follow applicable law, including anti-spam and telemarketing rules.
• Every contact reveal uses credits and is logged against the customer's account.

Your choices and rights

• Access: ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
• Correction: ask us to fix information that is inaccurate.
• Deletion and opt-out: ask us to remove your record and keep it from reappearing. We add you to a suppression list, so your information stays out of search results even if a data provider sends it to us again.

California (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we hold and where it came from, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We will not discriminate against you for using any of these rights. We respond within 45 days.

Europe and the UK (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority. We respond within one month.

Our lawful basis for holding professional information about people in the EEA and the UK is legitimate interest: helping businesses find and contact the right professionals for recruiting and business purposes, balanced against your rights. You can object at any time, and we will stop.

We receive this information from our data providers, not from you. This page and our Privacy Policy are our notice to you about it, and you can ask us at any time whether we hold information about you and where it came from.

How to make a request

Use our Do Not Sell My Information form, or email privacy@contactsearch.ai.

To find the right record, we match on the name, email or social link you give us. The more you give us, the more precisely we can match you. We use the information in your request only to find and act on your record.
